The Schools IT Technician plays a vital role in ensuring schools, academies and clients of EIS have reliable, secure and effective IT systems that support teaching and learning. The role provides expert technical support across networks, devices and classroom technology, helping schools adopt best practice and mitigate IT risks. It’s key to maintaining smooth daily operations and enabling a safe, technology driven education environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Provide professional IT support and advice to schools, academies and clients, resolving a wide range of technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents, sharing technical solutions with colleagues.
  • Act on behalf of customers with third-party providers to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
  • Recommend service improvements and contribute to the continuous development of support functions.
  • Provide remote technical assistance when not on-site, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of issues.
  • Advise on new IT solutions, services and equipment in line with Cantium Business Solutions offerings.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting networks, Windows Servers and user devices.
  • Knowledge of classroom technology, including smartboards, projectors and visualisers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Technologies ie, Office365, Azure and InTune.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a customer focused mindset.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence, access to own vehicle and holds valid insurance for business use.
