Job summary

Northallerton School & Sixth Form College is seeking a General Technician to support Art and Food Technology departments. The role involves preparing resources, maintaining stock, and assisting staff and students to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely.

The post is permanent, 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) with some flexibility discussed at interview. Training days are included.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment, materials and resources for practical lessons.
• Support safe and effective delivery of practical activities.
• Maintain stock levels, inventories and departmental records.
• Receive and store deliveries and assist with ordering supplies.
• Support the display of student work and curriculum events.
• Help maintain high standards of health, safety and hygiene.
