A community-focused organization is seeking a School Sports Manager in Greater London to manage school sports programs. This role involves leading educational initiatives, building relationships with schools, and ensuring effective budget management. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational settings, project management skills, and a passion for physical education. Flexibility in hours is required, including some evenings and weekends.
Fulham FC Foundation are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed person to take up the position of School Sports Manager.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the management and growth of our schools-based portfolio of programmes across South West London. These include breakfast clubs, curriculum PPA sessions, lunchtime clubs and afterschool clubs, which take place in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools, both in the classroom and on the playground. The post holder will also play a leading role in supporting the management and delivery of our Premier League Primary Stars programme, funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund.
The successful candidate will be somebody who has prior experience working within educational settings, and who is passionate about inspiring and supporting young people to engage and thrive, both physically and mentally, whilst at school.
Much of the role will involve building relationships with the Senior Leaders of schools that we deliver in to ensure that service excellence standards are maintained, and that tangible learning and impact is facilitated for the thousands of children we engage with on a weekly basis.
In addition, a large focus of the role will involve growing and developing our network of school partners and stakeholders to achieve financial and engagement related targets.
Reporting directly to our Senior Education Manager, the School Sports Manager is responsible for the management and development of an engaging and comprehensive School Sports Programme. This role involves overseeing the delivery of Physical Education (PE) and classroom based activities in nursery, primary and secondary school settings to promote physical activity, teamwork, and personal development among participants. This is a 40 hour a week role where flexibility is essential, as the role necessitates involvement in supporting the delivery of programme activities as and when required. Generally the hours will be as follows, but there will be occasions when evening and weekend work is required.
Mondays: 08:00-16:30
Tuesdays: 08:00-16:30
Wednesdays: 08:00-16:30
Thursdays: 08:00-16:30
\Fridays: 08:00-16:30
Salary range: £32,000-£35,000
