Job summary

Priory Primary School in Dudley is seeking a proactive Site Assistant to oversee safety, security and maintenance of the school site. You will manage grounds upkeep, liaise with contractors, and support lettings during peak times. The role may require opening/closing the site and adapting hours to business needs.

Two hour options exist: 20 hours (AYR contract) or up to 32 hours (AYR contract with cleaning duties). Salary scales apply, and the role is Grade 2 SCP 3. Applications via email.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and committed to safeguarding.
• Basic maintenance and DIY skills for minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Flexible working hours including opening/closing the site.
• Good communication with staff, contractors and visitors.
• Willing to drive the school minibus as overtime.
• Willingness to maintain safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, security and maintenance of the school.
• Keep school grounds well-maintained and manage cleaning.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers.
• Work with Senior Leadership Team and Office Manager on site operations.
• Open and close the site; manage lettings during peak times.
