Role: School Sites Manager

Location: Aylesbury

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salaray: £27500 p/a

College Sites Manager needed in Aylesbury!

The Sites Manager will support the day‑to‑day running of the school site, helping to maintain high standards of safety, maintenance, cleanliness, and security. Working as part of a small caretaking team, the role involves close communication with the Deputy Headteacher, contractors, and wider school staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting daily caretaking of school buildings and grounds
  • Maintaining internal and external areas to ensure a safe environment
  • Liaising with external contractors and supervising site work
  • Assisting with lettings, including potential weekend cover
  • Carrying out practical tasks, repairs, and maintenance
  • Managing equipment, stock levels, and hygiene supplies
Security
  • Opening and closing the school site
  • Ensuring windows, doors, gates, and fire exits are secure
  • Reporting security concerns, damage, or vandalism
  • Liaising with emergency services when required
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Following Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
  • Supporting fire safety checks and risk assessments
  • Responding to emergencies such as leaks, spillages, or faults
  • Keeping site areas safe, clean, and compliant
About You
  • Have caretaking or facilities experience
  • Can use relevant equipment, tools, and materials
  • Understand Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH
  • Are proactive, reliable, and able to prioritise workload
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, parents, visitors, and contractors
