Excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive School Site Manager to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking school community that values teamwork, professional growth, and making a real difference.

This school is a vibrant, inclusive and high‑performing primary school within a respected, values‑led multi‑academy trust committed to “transforming schools; changing lives.” The Trust champions innovation, sustainability and collaboration, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, receives a great education.

As Site Manager, you'll take ownership of all aspects of facilities and estate management leading a small, dedicated site team (including an Assistant and Facilities Officer) and ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the school. You'll join a supportive network of Site Managers across the Trust who work closely together, share ideas, and support one another.

This is a hands‑on leadership role offering both variety and responsibility, from day‑to‑day site operations to contributing to future capital improvement projects already backed by Trust funding. You'll find a positive culture, excellent facilities, and the opportunity to make the role your own while helping shape an inspiring and safe environment for pupils and staff.

You’ll have the autonomy to shape the role, make a visible difference, and play a key part in maintaining and improving a thriving learning environment.

The Role
  • Lead all aspects of site, premises, and facilities management, ensuring a safe, secure, and well‑maintained school environment.
  • Line manage and support premises colleagues, fostering teamwork and professional pride in all site operations.
  • Oversee contractors and maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and best value.
  • Manage security systems, access control, and emergency procedures including out‑of‑hours response.
  • Work proactively with the School Business Manager and Bourne Education Trust to support capital projects and long‑term estate planning.
  • Develop and maintain robust health & safety and statutory compliance frameworks.
  • Act as a key member of the school team – visible, approachable, and committed to providing an outstanding service.
The Person
  • Proven experience in facilities or site management, ideally within an educational or similar setting.
  • Practical, hands‑on approach with excellent maintenance, DIY, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Confident leader with strong communication and organisational ability.
  • H&S qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH) or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
  • IT literate with sound administrative and reporting skills.
  • Collaborative, reliable, and values‑driven – someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a strong, supportive team.
