School Site Manager – Walkden
Part-time Permanent £18,355 (25 hours per week)
Monday–Friday (Split shift: 7:30am–10:00am & 3:15pm–5:45pm) – All year round
Teem Recruitment are seeking a reliable and motivated Site Manager to join a welcoming school in the Walkden area. This is a part-time, permanent role, ideal for someone with a strong maintenance background and a passion for creating a safe, well‑maintained school environment.
Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth and safe operation of the school site, carrying out maintenance, repairs, event support, and general upkeep to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Main Duties
- Undertake general maintenance and repair tasks, including painting, plumbing, minor electrical work, and DIY.
- Conduct daily site inspections, ensuring the school is clean, secure, and safe.
- Open and lock school buildings, maintaining security throughout the day.
- Assist reception with welcoming visitors, monitoring CCTV, and handling deliveries and mail.
- Carry out regular Health & Safety and compliance checks (fire alarms, equipment, exits).
- Maintain outdoor areas, keeping grounds tidy and presentable.
- Provide support for school events and be available for emergency call‑outs as required.
- Work independently or as part of a team across multiple school sites if necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
- Qualification or willingness to work towards a trade such as Painting & Decorating, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry.
- SIA Licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in school caretaking, site management, or general building maintenance.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
