School Site Manager - South Birmingham

Full‑Time | Long‑Term | Competitive Pay

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school site
• Carry out minor repairs, basic plumbing, carpentry and general DIY tasks
• Manage contractors and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
• Conduct regular site checks, risk assessments and maintain relevant records
• Open and/or lock the school site as part of a split‑shift or flexible working pattern
• Support the school with set‑ups for events, deliveries and general operational needs
• Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are functioning effectively

About You

• Previous experience in a school or facilities management role
• Strong practical maintenance/DIY skills
• Knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding and compliance procedures
• Reliable, adaptable and able to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply through Tradewind)
