Overview

Science Technician - Full Time (5 Days per Week). Location: Secondary Schools across Southwark. Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Science Technician to join a range of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about science education and thrives in a school environment.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing, setting up, and maintaining equipment and materials for science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Supporting teaching staff to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including safe storage and disposal of materials
  • Maintaining laboratories, equipment, and preparation areas to a high standard
Qualifications
  • Previous and relevant experience as a Science Technician, ideally within a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and health & safety requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
