Job summary

Philosophy Education is seeking a Science Technician for Bromley Secondary School with an immediate start on an ongoing contract. You will support science lessons across KS3 to KS5, set up practicals and prepare equipment under the direction of the Senior Science Technician.

The successful candidate has a science background, strong attention to detail and a good understanding of health and safety in a lab. An Enhanced DBS on the update Service is expected.

The role - Science Technician

As a science technician, you will be assisting teaching staff in the delivery of science lessons across KS3. KS4 and KS5. You will be involved in setting up practical lessons, including equipment preparation under the direction of the Senior Science Technician. You should have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of health and safety practices when working within a science lab. Whilst the core of your role will be involved preparation and tidying up the lab, you may be required to assist in lessons as well.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking, passionate individual with a science background and an Enhanced DBS on the update Service.
