A community-focused education provider in Kingston is seeking a committed School Receptionist & Administrator for a full-time, on-site role. The candidate will provide administrative support in a busy front office, welcoming visitors and managing communication. Previous experience in a UK school office is essential, as well as strong communication skills. This position operates from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Job Title: School Receptionist & Administrator
Location: Kingston
Employment Type: Full Time 8am 4pm

Salary: £16 per hour PAYE

About the Role

A welcoming and community-driven school in Kingston is seeking a committed School Receptionist & Administrator to join their busy front office team. This full-time, on-site position operates from 8am 4pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be calm, organised and confident supporting a wide range of administrative tasks. An Enhanced DBS and previous experience working in a UK school office are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing a friendly and professional welcome to visitors, families and students
  • Managing switchboard duties and overseeing the school s main inbox
  • Supporting admissions paperwork, correspondence and document preparation
  • Updating student data, attendance information and general records using MIS systems
  • Liaising with staff, parents and external agencies to support daily operations
  • Following safeguarding, data protection and school policies at all times
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Recent experience in a UK school administrative or reception role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skillsli>
  • Good IT literacy, including use of MIS platforms (Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom etc.)
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
