Senploy is seeking an experienced Premises Manager to take ownership of a busy SEN school site in Lambeth. The role covers day-to-day site operations, safety compliance, and contractor coordination, with a strong emphasis on IT-enabled record-keeping and maintenance management.

The successful candidate will have prior premises or site management experience in a school or SEN setting, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work proactively with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience as Premises Manager, Site Manager or Senior Caretaker in a school or similar setting.
• Strong IT skills including electronic record-keeping and maintenance systems.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, fire safety and building compliance.
• Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance schedules.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads independently.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS check.

Hours: Monday to Friday - Two-Week Rotating Shift Pattern

Week 1: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Week 2: 10:00am - 6:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a highly experienced, proactive and reliable Premises Manager to join a welcoming SEN school based in Lambeth.

We are looking for a strong candidate who can confidently take ownership of the school's premises, oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure the building remains safe, secure and well-maintained.

Strong IT skills are essential, as the successful candidate will be expected to manage electronic records, maintenance systems, compliance documentation and administrative tasks.

This is an excellent full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced Premises Manager looking for a long-term position within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily management, maintenance and security of the school premises.
• Ensure the school meets all health and safety, safeguarding and compliance requirements.
• Carry out regular site inspections, risk assessments and safety checks.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance works and external contractors.
• Manage fire safety procedures, statutory checks and compliance records.
• Use IT systems to maintain accurate records, reports and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee cleaning standards and ensure all school facilities are maintained to a high standard.
• Respond promptly to site emergencies and maintenance issues.
• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the smooth running of the school site.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Premises Manager, Site Manager or Senior Caretaker is essential.
• Strong IT skills are essential, including Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation, fire safety and building compliance.
• Experience managing contractors, maintenance schedules and site operations.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads independently.
• Confident, proactive and capable of taking full responsibility for school premises.
• Previous experience working within a school or SEN environment is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
