Job summary

City of York Council invites applications for a School Outreach role based at Danesgate REACH Hub. The post holder will provide professional outreach, liaison and advisory support to mainstream schools and short-stay PRU teams to promote inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing.

Working in a small team under the REACH Hub Manager, the role will model intervention techniques, conduct pupil observations and collaborate with families and LA partners to reduce barriers to learning.

• Provide professional outreach, liaison and advisory support to mainstream schools and short-stay PRU teams to promote inclusive, positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
• Model effective intervention frameworks (including de-escalation techniques and unconditional positive regard), observe pupils, and work with colleagues, families and LA partners to reduce learning barriers and suspensions.
