Responsibilities
  • The post holder will have professional responsibility for a defined population / caseload and lead the delivery & organisation of the public health programme, including the nursing component of the school health program to a school‑age population within a defined number of schools.
  • Based within the community setting, the practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care offered to families and external organisations, with particular attention to safeguarding children.
  • They will be responsible for coordinating and delegating work within a skill‑mix team.
  • Delivering the nursing component of the school health program to a school‑age population within a defined number of schools (repeat responsibility – retained for clarity).
Eligibility
  • Candidates must hold a SCPHN degree or equivalent in School Nursing with current NMC registration.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Employment Details
  • This post is fixed term/secondment for 46 weeks due to maternity leave.
