A health services provider in Scotland is seeking a School Nurse to deliver an effective nursing service for vulnerable children in need of support. This permanent position involves working collaboratively with families and other agencies, focusing on prevention and intervention in areas like mental health. The role requires in-depth knowledge and the ability to manage a caseload autonomously. The position is 37 hours per week with a salary between £41,608 and £50,702 plus additional allowances.
Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 per annum
Plus, Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum

The post holder will provide an accessible, person centred effective school nursing service for vulnerable school aged children who have been identified as being at risk and requiring additional support. This will be achieved by working in partnership with children, young people, families, carers and partner agencies.
A continuous focus on prevention, early intervention and support will prevail and concentrate on the ten priority areas under overarching themes of vulnerable children and families, mental health and wellbeing, and risk taking behaviours.
The post holder will work within a team but will be responsible for a caseload and function as an autonomous practitioner by virtue of in‑depth knowledge, expertise, experience and proficiency.
