Job summary

Wrenn School, operated under Creative Education Trust, is seeking a Minibus Driver to support pupil transport and safety. The role includes transporting pupils to school and on educational visits as needed, with a focus on a calm, supportive environment and safeguarding best practices.

The position is permanent, 5 hours per week during 38 school weeks per year, with early start times (7:40am to 8:40am), Monday to Friday. A reliable driver with good safeguarding awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate the school minibus safely and in line with safety regulations.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks to keep the minibus in good working order.
• Transport pupils to school and to educational visits when required.

Salary: NJC Grade 2, Points 3-4 £13.28 - £13.48 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent, 5 hours per week

Working Pattern: 7.40am to 8.40am Monday to Friday

Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year, term time only

About You

Wrenn School are seeking a Minibus Driver to join their school community.

You will play a key role in ensuring pupils are transported safely and comfortably to school. There will be additional opportunity to transport students to educational visits and other school activities on an ad hoc basis.

You will be responsible for operating the school minibus in line with safety regulations, maintaining a calm and supportive environment for pupils, and carrying out basic vehicle checks to ensure the minibus remains in good working order. A friendly manner, reliability, and a strong commitment to pupil wellbeing are essential for this role.
