We are seeking a School Mental Health assistant to work within a SEND School in Hemel Hempstead.

We are working with a Special Needs School in Bletchley that is looking for support staff to start working with them from September, The school are particularly interested in Psychology and criminology graduates who are aspiring Education Psychologists/Clinical Psychologists/Occupational Therapists.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of needs including Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism and behavioural difficulties in a SEND school environment.
  • Commit to a role for at least 12 months to provide consistency for the children’s progression.
  • Assist with activities and approaches suitable for students with additional needs inside the educational setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Graduate or about to graduate; interested in roles such as Education Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist, or mental health support work.
  • Psychology or criminology graduates are especially welcome.
  • Some experience working with children is beneficial, but motivation and personality are equally important.
