School Mental Health Assistant – Education and Training

Location: Bletchley / Hemel Hempstead (Special Educational Needs School)

Start date: ASAP, January, or September.

We are seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to support children with special educational and emotional needs in a SEND school.

Responsibilities
  • Work with pupils with SEMH, Autism and behavioural difficulties.
  • Deliver support in a classroom and individual setting.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals.
  • Maintain consistent support for at least 12 months.
Qualifications
  • Education Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or similar graduate, or about to graduate.
  • Strong motivation and personality for working with children.
  • Experience with children in various settings is beneficial but not essential.
  • Professional interest in education and mental health.
Commitment

Will need to commit to at least 12 months due to importance of consistency for children’s progress.
