Job summary

Wood End Park Academy is seeking a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to support lunch-time supervision for over 900 pupils in Hayes, West London. The role focuses on supervising students, facilitating play activities, ensuring pupil safety, and effective communication with staff and pupils.

Term-time only; 38 weeks per year, 10 hours per week, permanent contract. Prior experience with children is desirable and an Enhanced DBS check will be required for appointment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS Check (with Barred List) will be required.

SCHOOL MEALS SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT

Salary (actual): £6,333

Grade: 1c

Hours: 10 hours per week

Work Pattern: term time only - 38 weeks per annum

Contract: Permanent

Wood End Park Academy is home to over 900 children, including a 60-place nursery. It serves the children and families of the richly diverse and welcoming community of Hayes in West London. The academy is part of The Park Federation Academy Trust, allowing us to benefit from a wealth of expertise across our ten academies, as well as enabling us to provide opportunities for sharing of good practice and high-quality training.

The role will entail:

• Helping supervise students during the lunch hour
• Engaging pupils in play activities
• Keeping our pupils safe
• Communicating effectively with both adults and pupils
