Job summary

Clarendon is seeking a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to support children during lunchtime, including playground, dining hall and indoor activities.

This permanent, term-time role starts October 2026 with 5.83 hours per week. The post requires DBS and safeguarding checks; training and supportive teamwork are provided to help you contribute to a safe, caring school environment.

Qualifications

• Welfare of children during lunchtime, including playground and dining hall.
• Pro-active engagement with children, playing games and supervising activities.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary.
• DBS and safeguarding checks will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lunchtime routines and assist with supervision of indoor activities.
• Support children with safe play and meal-time supervision.

Working Pattern: 5.83 hours a week, term-time only. Start October 2026

Pay Grade: Grade B SCP 4 £3,427.67 per annum

Working Hours: 1 hour a 10 minutes a day, around lunchtime provision

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing date: Monday 12th October at 12pm

Interview Date: Tuesday 20th October 2026

The Role To be a valued member of the team responsible for the welfare of our children during the lunchtime break. This involves a range of duties including playground, dinner hall and indoor sessions.

About You We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to join our team. You will be required to be pro-active in engaging with the children, playing games and administering basic first aid when necessary.
