Job summary

The Oxford Academy in Oxford is seeking a School Librarian to run a vital space at the heart of the school, welcoming students and managing resources. You will work with the Deputy Headteacher to oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate staff and volunteers, and drive literacy improvement.

You will lead targeted literacy interventions, organise reading tests, and strengthen local links with the Littlemore Community Library.

Responsibilities

• Run a welcoming, well-organised library space and manage library resources.
• Coordinate library staff and adult volunteers and track budgets and records.
• Support literacy development through targeted small-group interventions and reading tests.
• Collaborate with local partners (Littlemore Community Library) to build community links.
