Job summary

Kingsmeadow Community School is recruiting a librarian to set up and run its brand-new library, opened in September 2026. The role covers building and managing the collection, selecting and cataloguing books and digital resources, promoting reading, and helping students and staff with research and information literacy.

The post is term-time only and paid pro rata, with enhanced DBS and online search checks. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a librarian in an educational setting.
• Ability to create a welcoming, well-resourced library environment.
• Knowledge of information literacy and research skills training.
