Overview

The London Academy of Excellence (LAE) is seeking to recruit a School Librarian. The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate a passion for promoting reading culture among students
• Be committed to providing excellent customer service to all library users
• Have the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students
• Be dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment within the library
• To promote an interest in information retrieval and encourage skills in finding and using it effectively and responsibly
• To support the curriculum through provision of up-to-date resources
• To have an in-depth knowledge of all resources available to Library users and give appropriate guidance
• To be responsible for the selection and deselection of stock
• The successful candidate will also support the growth and transition of our library into our new school premises, Hawthorne House in September 2026. With a brand new state of the art library being built, this is an exciting time for a Librarian to join us.
