Job summary

Chartwells in Verwood is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to support our education catering team. This part-time role is contracted to 16 hours per week across 43.6 weeks per year, with opportunities to develop within a company that values its people and brand.

You will prepare high-quality meals, keep the kitchen clean, operate equipment safely, assist with deliveries, and uphold Chartwells’ reputation for service and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or food service is preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and follow food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
