Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant at Sevenoaks School to help keep kitchens clean, safe and efficient. You will support chefs, sanitize all dining wares, assist with deliveries and basic prep, and ensure storage and hygiene best practices are followed.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, team collaboration, and a proactive approach to safety, with on-site responsibilities and a permanent full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Food safety & Health & Safety level 2 certification required.
• Completion of mandatory online training within 3 months of employment.
• Demonstrate experience in a similar role within the service industry at a comparable level.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitise all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, equipment and food service items.
• Unloading and putting away deliveries.
• Basic food preparation.
• Ensure correct storage (FIFO) and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Deep cleaning fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary standards.
• Promote positive customer service and teamwork.
