Job summary

Wave Academy Trust is seeking an outstanding Cook with experience of food preparation, ideally in an environment serving children and young people. The successful candidate will work with the team to prepare meals, maintain a clean kitchen, and promote pupils’ independence and inclusion.

We value excellent teamwork and communication, with a passion for safeguarding and supporting vulnerable pupils. The post requires DBS checks and adherence to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience of food preparation, ideally in an environment serving children and young people.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability and enthusiasm to make a difference and be passionate about inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all academy meals efficiently and in a timely manner, and maintain a clean, well maintained and stocked kitchen.
• Provide well balanced meals and nutritional menu choices.
• Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
