Job summary

Derbyshire Catering Service, part of Derbyshire County Council, is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our kitchen team. You will support the kitchen supervisor with food preparation, cooking, portion control and ensuring dining room readiness for service.

You will help us follow food hygiene and health and safety regulations to create positive lunchtime experiences for customers, including allergen awareness. NVQ food hygiene certificate is required on appointment.

Qualifications

• Passionate about food and able to work well in a team.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to support kitchen operations and dining room setup.
