Job summary

Chartwells is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team for a part-time role, contracted to 16 hours per week in Westham. You will be at the heart of our operation, focused on food quality, cleanliness, and brand representation.

You will work as part of Compass Group UK&I, with opportunities to progress while we invest in our people. The role requires reliability, the ability to work under pressure, and a flexible approach to shifts. DBS check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
• Demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels
