Edsential Community Interest Company is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to support Elleray Park Primary School. This school term time contract (plus two cleaning days) offers 10 hours per week, roughly 11:30–13:30, at £12.71 per hour. Salary is paid over 12 months and enhanced DBS costs are covered by the employer.

You will assist with meals, maintain dining areas, and ensure safety and hygiene in a busy school kitchen environment while developing Customer Service skills.

Formación

• Experience in a school kitchen would be advantageous but training will be provided.
• Ability to build relationships and promote a positive work environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy customer facing role.
• Ability to take direction and prioritise.
• Flexibility to work within other Edsential units.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and serving meals, portion control, allergens and intolerances.
• Preparation of the dining areas and service counter.
• Cleaning of dining, kitchen and staff facilities.
• Operate tills (where appropriate) and follow IT procedures and training.
• Follow safe systems of work, maintain hygiene and safeguarding per policy.
• Comfortable working in a manually intensive environment.
