Job summary

Edsential is seeking a friendly, reliable team member to support the catering team at Wolverham Primary and Nursery School in Ellesmere Port. This term-time contract includes two cleaning days, with salary paid equally over 12 months. You will help with food prep, serving meals, and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school kitchen is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy customer-facing role.
• Flexibility to work across Edsential units as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and serving meals, and manage portion control and special diets.
• Prepare dining areas and service counters; maintain hygiene in line with policies.
• Clean dining, kitchen and staff facilities; operate tills where applicable.
• Follow safe systems of work; adhere to safeguarding and Food Safety legislation.
