Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant in Fareham. This part-time role is 17.5 hours per week across 43.8 weeks per year, joining a team proud of its food, brand and people.

You will prepare high-quality meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness and help with deliveries, while adhering to food hygiene and health and safety standards. Flexibility to shift work and a calm focus under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is advantageous.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Reliable with excellent time-keeping and attendance.
• Willing to work flexible shifts to cover operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure correct use of all machinery and equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading of deliveries and supplies.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling and Hygiene standards.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations.
