Job summary

Chartwells is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant in Rochester to join our education catering team on a part-time basis. The role is contracted to 20 hours per week and 36 weeks per year, with opportunities to progress within a company that values its people and brand.

You will handle food preparation, maintain high kitchen cleanliness, safely operate equipment, assist with deliveries, and uphold health, safety and food hygiene standards while representing Chartwells positively.

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
