We're currently recruiting an ambitious School Cook to help us create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK. Please note: This role is contracted to 43 weeks per year.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
2. Overseeing and implementing menu changes
3. Supervising our culinary and catering teams to ensure we continue to deliver impeccable food and customer service
4. Overseeing the efficiency of all in-unit catering operations, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
5. Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
6. Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
7. Liaising between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we continue to exceed expectations
8. Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
9. Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role
10. Monitoring inventories and ordering goods to keep our kitchens well-stocked
11. Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
12. Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams
13. Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations in line with HACCP
