School Healthcare Assistant - Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol

Part-time, Term-time only

Salary : £14,649 to £16,156

Our client is a thriving independent day and boarding school for girls aged 4-18, which has remained at the forefront of girls' education for well over 165 years.

Located in Westbury-on-Trym on the leafy outskirts of the university city of Bristol, the school retains a nationally outstanding academic record, its focus continues to be on nurturing the girls' natural curiosity and fuelling their passion for learning.

They are looking for an organised and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to support the school. This is a part-time position working 29.5 hours a week during term time and working hours will be 8.00 am to 6.00 pm 3 days per week and 9.00 am to 12 noon every third Saturday.

Primary responsibilities include :
  • To assist in the management and care of any unwell pupils in school and any pupils who sustain any injury whilst in school.
  • Support the Senior Nurse with ensuring every pupil who attends the Health Centre is appropriately assessed and appropriate treatment is actioned.
  • Actively promote health and wellbeing issues in school including supporting pupils with managing personal hygiene, sleep hygiene, mental health, healthy eating and exercise.
  • Ensure every boarder receives the most appropriate care, advocating on their behalf if necessary.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently and sensitively with pupils, parents and external providers
