Job summary

Darlington County School District is seeking a Maintenance - Grounds staff member for a 260-day position for the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves performing general grounds maintenance and yard duties to keep school grounds attractive.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming shrubs, keeping areas clean, reporting major repairs, and assisting in other maintenance tasks as needed. A valid SC driver's license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Positive employment history preferred.
• SLED/criminal background review required.

• Report any necessary major repairs and/or damage of district property
• Provide assistance in other maintenance areas as assigned
• Perform other related duties as required, as well as all other duties as assigned

Salary: $15.04/hour Base Ssalary (based on previous full time experience)
