Job Title: School Finance Manager
Location: Poole
Contract: 3-month Fixed-Term, Full-Time (5 days a week) / Temporary
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (minimum)
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced School Finance Manager or Officer with a background in school finance?

GSL Education are urgently seeking an experienced School Finance Manager with a background in school finance to join a local school in Poole for a 3-month fixed-term role. This is a full-time temporary position requiring a dedicated individual who can take on all aspects of school finance management during this period.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be able to step in quickly and ensure the smooth running of financial operations within the school, working closely with senior leadership to ensure financial compliance and efficient financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of school finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure financial compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Manage the school's financial transactions and accounting systems.
  • Work closely with senior staff to provide financial analysis and advice.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for governors and stakeholders.
  • Support in the preparation of annual budgets and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Proven experience in school finance or similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with financial management software and tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in a similar school finance management role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
