Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated School Finance Manager to join our support staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified professional with strong financial expertise, excellent organisational skills, and a strategic, solution-focused approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective administration and management of the school’s financial systems and procedures, working closely with the Head Teacher and Strategic Business Manager to support the planning, monitoring, and control of the school budget. This role is central to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school’s finances, delivering best value, and maintaining long-term financial stability.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the school’s financial systems and procedures to ensure accurate, timely financial information and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Head Teacher and Strategic Business Manager to support budget planning, monitoring, and control.
  • Ensure sound financial governance, value for money, and long-term financial stability for the school.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Significant experience in accounting, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent ICT skills and experience with School Management Information Systems (SMIS) preferred.
  • An accountancy qualification, DSBM, or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in leading on commercial activities and project-based financial management is advantageous.
