The Cambian Group is seeking a maintenance operative to support Southlands School in the New Forest area. The role entails ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained premises, performing routine maintenance, and overseeing minor projects within the site.

You will contribute to compliance with national regulations and uphold high standards of records and reporting. The position offers a clear progression path within a supportive education group and benefits aligned with site maintenance roles.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in facilities maintenance and safety compliance.
• Ability to inspect and address contractor works.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for schools.
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.

Aufgaben

• Ensure environments are safe, welcoming, clean and in good repair for students.
• Provide high standards of site records and reports.
• Participate in regular audits of the quality system.
• Address works from contractors falling below required standards.
• Ensure compliance with current national regulations and inspection standards for the establishment.
• Manage maintenance workload and timelines.
• Liaise with Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects and seek technical support as needed.
• Identify facility projects to improve image, functionality or educational efficiency.
• Ensure projects finish on schedule and contractor areas are left in good condition.
• Maintain upkeep of the grounds.
