The work is helping children and adults cross the road safely on their way to and from school. The post is term time only over 39 working weeks, with short morning and afternoon sessions on weekdays totalling about seven hours a week. Fit depends on accurate spoken English, as the role involves advising the public, and full training and uniform are provided.
