Job summary

East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a School Crossing Patroller to operate a site at Baljaffray, Bearsden, and Killermont Primary across set hours. You will ensure the safe passage of children to and from school, following safety rules and signaling traffic to protect pedestrians.

No formal qualifications are required, but you should be able to work in all weather, have good road sense, and ideally some experience with children.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are necessary.
• Ability to cope in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge of the Highway Code/Green Cross Code recommended.
• Previous experience working with children would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a School Crossing Patrol site at Baljaffray Primary, Bearsden Primary and Killermont Primary at arranged times.
• Ensure the safe passage of children to and from school.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and monitor traffic and pedestrians.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to safety procedures at all times.
