We are looking for a reliable and community-minded School Crossing Patrol Officer to help children and families cross safely at the junction of Belverdere Road, Burnley.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • Morning: 8:25am to 9:00am
  • Afternoon: 3:15pm to 3:35pm
  • Based on 38 school term weeks per year
  • 7.5 paid hours per week, with a minimum of 5 paid hours per week (hours may vary depending on the crossing location)

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
