Job summary

Term Time Teachers Ltd is supporting a Tunbridge Wells school to recruit a School Crossing Patrol with immediate start. Hours are 7:45am to 8:45am, Monday to Friday, term time only.

The role focuses on safeguarding children, families and pedestrians at the crossing point and helping traffic flow safely. You will wear the provided uniform, follow health and safety guidelines and report hazards or incidents in line with school procedures.

• Safely manage pedestrians waiting to cross and ensure they wait for traffic to stop.
• Use the provided uniform and safety equipment correctly at all times.

• Monitor and report hazards such as potholes, obstructions, vegetation or roadworks.
• Report incidents, safeguarding concerns or inappropriate behaviour per school procedures.
• Complete required training and follow health and safety guidance.

Academics are currently supporting a school in Tunbridge Wells with the recruitment of a School Crossing Patrol, offering an immediate start.

Hours: 7:45am - 8:45am, Monday to Friday, term time only.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the safety of children, families and pedestrians using the designated school crossing point, while helping traffic move safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Safely managing pedestrians waiting to cross and ensuring they only enter the road when traffic has stopped.
• Using the provided uniform and safety equipment correctly at all times.
• Ensuring pedestrians have safely reached the footway before allowing traffic to proceed.
• Monitoring and reporting hazards such as potholes, obstructions, vegetation or roadworks.
• Reporting incidents, inappropriate behaviour or safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures.
• Completing required training and following health and safety guidance.
