The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Echline Primary School in Edinburgh. The role runs Monday to Friday, 5PM–7PM, with 10 hours per week across 40 weeks per year.

This is a permanent role within the Facilities Management team, offering above-market rates, training, and opportunities for progression. As a cleaner, you will cover litter and recycling duties, sanitize surfaces and facilities, replenish consumables, and respond to reactive cleaning requests.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining sanitation in school or public buildings.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday 5PM-7PM.

Aufgaben

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
• Clean sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenish washroom consumables.
• Perform emergency and reactive cleaning as required (e.g., graffiti removal, spillages).
• Care for and cleanliness of equipment used in cleansing duties.
• Support cleaning tasks across other buildings as required.
