Berry Recruitment Darlington is seeking registered Cleaners and Kitchen Assistants for temporary school assignments in the Wingate area. Roles are flexible and ad-hoc, ideal for fitting around other commitments or earning extra hours.

Shifts typically run 9:30am–1:30pm or 3:00pm–5:30pm, Monday to Friday. A valid Enhanced DBS and reliable, punctual staff are required; driving licence and own transport are advantageous.

Formación

• Experience in cleaning or kitchen roles is preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport would be advantageous.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work within a school environment.

Responsabilidades

• Vacuuming and mopping floors
• Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
• Tidying classrooms and staff areas
• Emptying bins
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Sanitising high-contact touchpoints such as door handles and light switches
• Cleaning and sanitising desks and workspaces
• Assisting with food preparation (Kitchen Assistant roles)
• Washing pots, pans and utensils
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces
• Supporting kitchen staff as required

Agency Cleaners & Kitchen Assistants Required - Wingate Area

Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently looking to register a number of Cleaners and Kitchen Assistants for temporary opportunities within schools in the Wingate area.

These roles are offered on a flexible, ad-hoc basis and are ideal for anyone looking to fit work around other commitments, gain additional hours, or earn extra income through part-time work.

Working Hours

Shifts are typically available between:

• 9:30am - 1:30pm


• 3:00pm - 5:30pm

Monday to Friday.

Duties

Cleaning Roles:

• Vacuuming and mopping floors


• Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities


• Tidying classrooms and staff areas


• Emptying bins


• Dusting and wiping surfaces


• Sanitising high-contact touchpoints such as door handles and light switches


• Cleaning and sanitising desks and workspaces

Kitchen Assistant Roles:

• Assisting with food preparation


• Washing pots, pans and utensils


• Cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces


• Supporting kitchen staff as required

Requirements

• Previous cleaning or kitchen experience is preferred but not essential


• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport would be advantageous


• Reliable, punctual and able to work within a school environment

Pay & Compliance

• £12.71 per hour


• Paid weekly in arrears through Berry Recruitment
  
• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service is required, or applicants must be willing to apply for one


• DBS application cost: £59.50 (if required)
