Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain the school premises to a high standard, including classrooms, offices, toilets, cloakrooms, staircases and all areas in use.

Working hours are 10am to 2pm, term-time only with a two-week summer deep clean; you will follow supervisor instructions and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed. The role emphasizes reliability and attention to detail in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• BICSc certification or equivalent or able to obtain after training.
• Track record of delivering a similar role in cleaning.
• Experience in a cleaning environment, preferably multi-site.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for cleaning areas of the school site as allocated by the cleaning supervisor.
• Use cleaning materials as instructed by the cleaning supervisor.
• Operate cleaning machinery on soft and hard surfaces (vacuum cleaners, polishers).
• Maintain confidentiality of school-related information.
• Vacuum clean hard and soft floors and spot clean spillages.
• Wipe furniture, ledges, pipes, doors and polish glass and windows.
• Empty and clean waste/recycling bins.
• Clean toilets and sanitary fittings.
• Mop and spray clean hard floors.
• Replenish supplies in toilets and classrooms.
• Check and close windows, switch off lights, lock doors after work.
• Report misuse or vandalism.
• Assist with deep cleaning during holiday periods as directed.
