Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a 1-2 month contract with a local authority to provide high-quality cleaning services in a school environment at East Leake Academy, Loughborough. The role covers classrooms, offices and washrooms, with emphasis on safety, hygiene and timely task completion.

Applicants should have prior cleaning experience in schools or comparable environments, be reliable, and able to work independently. Enhanced DBS clearance is required before progression.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience within schools, offices, commercial buildings or public environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Ability to undertake physical cleaning duties.
• Previous experience working within a school environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment.
• Health and Safety awareness training.

Responsabilités

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across the academy premises.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Undertake litter picking around the site as required.
• Vacuum carpets and floor coverings.
• Sweep, mop and maintain hard floor surfaces.
• Dust and wipe desks, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Clean and sanitise high-touch surfaces.
• Clean and maintain washrooms, toilets and handwashing facilities.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels where required.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to agreed standards and schedules.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals.
• Report maintenance issues, defects or health and safety concerns.
• Follow COSHH, health and safety and site procedures at all times.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach.
