Job summary

Smile Education seeks reliable school cleaners to join our team in Hyde, Greater Manchester. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety in classrooms, corridors and communal areas of the school.

Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable. An enhanced DBS certificate and right-to-work in the UK are required, with safeguarding procedures followed in all pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Previous professional cleaning experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (children's workforce checks) where required.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work independently with good attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and other facilities.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and maintaining floors.
• Dusting and wiping desks, tables, chairs and other surfaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Cleaning high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
• Replenishing soap, toilet rolls and other cleaning supplies.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely per COSHH guidelines.
• Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Ensuring all areas are left clean, tidy and safe for pupils and staff.
