Job summary

Netherthorpe Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised premises assistant to work on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday, 22.5 hours per week. The role includes locking the school safely and securely after duties and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, corridors, and the Sports Hall.

You will join a friendly team and perform cleaning tasks, including floor cleaning, surface disinfection, waste disposal, and toilet cleaning.

Qualifications

• General cleaning experience would be desirable.
• An understanding of operational practices and health & safety issues.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain security in all areas.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lock the premises effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean floor space in teaching, communal, office areas and the Sports Hall using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Clean internal surface areas e.g. walls, windows, work surfaces and floors using appropriate techniques, equipment and materials.
• Empty waste paper bins and remove waste to a designated area.
• Daily clean of toilet areas.
• Locking the school safely and securely.
