Job summary

Cascade Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join Whiteways Primary School. The role focuses on maintaining sanitised, safe and welcoming environments across the site, following health and safety rules and procedures.

A successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. You will be organised, work to high cleaning standards, use appropriate equipment and materials, and report any damage or issues to site staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in keeping schools or similar environments clean.
• Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across allocated areas.
• Follow health and safety rules and processes for cleaning operations.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials and machinery as required.
• Carry out a range of duties including cleaning, washing, sweeping, sanitising, vacuuming, polishing and dusting.
• Support with specialist cleaning where appropriate.
• Report damage or defects to the appropriate person.
• Sign off checklists and liaise with site staff and managers as required.
