Job summary

Oasis Academy Don Valley in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to help maintain a clean, safe learning environment for students and staff. You will contribute to hygiene, safety and overall wellbeing across classrooms, corridors, and shared spaces.

The role requires physical fitness, reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safeguarding in a school setting.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills and clear communication. You should be physically fit and able to carry out tasks that involve lifting and standing for extended periods. A commitment to safeguarding is essential, along with the ability to maintain professional boundaries when working in a school environment with children. Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or similar setting, would be advantageous, along with a good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
